About the Role

Description

The DMV Clerk is a crucial role within our dealership. This individual will be responsible for handling all aspects of vehicle titling, registration, and receiving incoming inventory. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of DMV regulations.


Responsibilities

DMV Processing:

  • Process vehicle titles and registrations accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal DMV regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all DMV transactions.
  • Resolve any DMV-related issues or discrepancies.

Receiving:

  • Receive incoming vehicle inventory and verify accuracy of paperwork.
  • Inspect vehicles for any damage or discrepancies.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for incoming vehicles, including title transfers and registration.
  • Coordinate with the service department for any required repairs or maintenance.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain organized filing systems for all DMV documents.
  • Assist with general office duties, such as answering phones, filing, and data entry.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in DMV regulations and procedures.

Other duties as assigned. 


Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.  
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a DMV or automotive dealership preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
