About the Role

Description

 We are a leading medical ophthalmology practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care, from routine exams to complex surgical procedures. We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Licensed Optician to join our team and manage our in-house optical shop.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense, adjust, and repair eyeglasses and contact lenses based on prescriptions from our Ophthalmologists and Optometrists.
  • Educate patients on lens options, frames, coatings, and general eye care.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering frames, lenses, and supplies.
  • Ensure all eye wear meets required quality and safety standards.
  • Handle billing, insurance verification, and process optical claims.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive optical display

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid state Optician's License (or equivalent certification).
  • Minimum of 3 years of dispensing experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of optical products, lens technology (e.g., progressives, high-index), and fitting techniques.
