Job Description
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director Brand & Creative, the Advisor, Design will work as part of a high-performing creative team to support the development and delivery of engaging visual content that brings our internal communications to life. Working closely with Internal Communications, People and Operational teams, this role helps ensure that key messages are delivered clearly, creatively, and consistently across the organisation.
The designer will create visual assets for internal campaigns, presentations, board reports, newsletters, events, and digital platforms, helping to strengthen staff engagement and connection to our values, strategy, and culture. They will assist in maintaining brand consistency, contribute creative ideas, and provide day-to-day design support for internal initiatives primarily.
Position Responsibilities
- Design and produce visual assets for internal communications, including newsletters, presentations, digital screens, intranet content, staff campaigns, and internal events.
- Support the development of internal campaigns that enhance staff engagement and understanding of organisational initiatives, values, and priorities.
- Maintain brand consistency across all internal materials by applying established visual identity guidelines and templates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Communications, People, Technology teams) to translate messages and information into clear, engaging visual formats.
- Assist with content management and creative production, including preparing artwork for digital and print use, editing visuals, and ensuring timely delivery of design outputs.
- Support external campaigns and creative projects as capacity and priorities allow, that offer opportunities to broaden design experience and portfolio.
Qualifications
About You
This is an ideal role for a creative, detail-oriented designer who enjoys translating complex information into clear, visually compelling content and is eager to grow their skills in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of professional experience in graphic design, ideally within a communications, corporate, or agency environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and an understanding of visual hierarchy and brand application.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); experience with Canva or similar tools an advantage.
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft 365 for creating and formatting visual materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interpret briefs, take feedback constructively, and deliver against deadlines.
