About the Role

Role Overview

The SAP Delivery Head is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of SAP programs and projects across multiple clients or business units. This role ensures successful execution of SAP implementation, upgrade, and support engagements while driving business transformation, client satisfaction, and operational excellence. The Delivery Head acts as a strategic partner to clients, oversees large delivery teams, and ensures adherence to quality, budget, and timelines.


Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Management

  • Own and oversee SAP project delivery across multiple accounts or geographies.

  • Ensure timely, quality-driven, and cost-effective implementation of SAP programs (S/4HANA, ECC, SAP Cloud solutions, etc.).

  • Establish and enforce best practices, methodologies (Agile/Activate/Waterfall), and governance frameworks.

  • Monitor delivery performance metrics (KPIs, SLAs) and drive continuous improvements.

2. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to CxOs, IT heads, and business leaders on SAP transformation initiatives.

  • Manage executive-level client relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement.

  • Drive account growth by identifying opportunities for new SAP services and solutions.

3. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor large delivery teams, including program managers, architects, and consultants.

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Manage global delivery centers, onshore/offshore teams, and partner/vendor relationships.

4. Strategic Planning & Business Growth

  • Contribute to SAP practice strategy, solution offerings, and go-to-market initiatives.

  • Support pre-sales activities: RFP/RFI responses, solution design, and proposal creation.

  • Drive revenue growth, margin optimization, and operational efficiency in SAP engagements.

5. Risk & Compliance Management

  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Establish governance models for large, complex SAP programs.

  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements across SAP solutions.
