Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work collaboratively with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.


Responsibilities:

  • Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the emergency room
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and progress
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols

Requirements

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility & stamina to stand, walk, and move continuously for long shifts (typically 8–12 hours).
  • Strength to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds (e.g., repositioning patients, handling medical equipment).
  • Dexterity & coordination for administering injections, starting IVs, operating medical equipment, and writing/documentation.
  • Flexibility & balance for frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to assist patients and access supplies.
  • Endurance to handle physically demanding tasks in high-stress environments without frequent breaks.
  • Hearing & vision adequate to respond to alarms, monitor patients, and communicate with the healthcare team; clear vision for reading charts, medications, and monitoring equipment.
  • Infection control compliance, including wearing PPE (e.g., gloves, masks, gowns) for extended periods and following strict hygiene protocols.
  • Emergency response capabilities, including quick physical response to urgent situations, performing CPR, emergency interventions, and rapid patient transfers.

Cognitive Requirements:

  • Critical thinking & problem-solving to assess patient conditions, identify complications, and make quick, evidence-based decisions.
  • Clinical judgment to interpret patient symptoms, lab results, and vital signs accurately for determining appropriate care.
  • Multitasking & prioritization to manage multiple patients, medications, and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient records, medication administration, and treatment protocols.
  • Communication skills for clear and effective verbal and written interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Emotional resilience & stress management to remain calm and focused under high-pressure situations, including trauma cases and emergencies.
  • Adaptability to quickly shift priorities based on patient needs, workflow changes, or emergencies.
  • Memory & retention to recall medical knowledge, protocols, and patient histories for proper care delivery.
  • Technological proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR), monitoring equipment, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ethical decision-making to uphold patient rights, confidentiality (HIPAA compliance), and professional standards.
