 Part-Time Recruiter (25–30 Hours/Week) — Growth Opportunity

Position Specifics:

Reports to: HR Manager

Supervises: None


Purpose:

Meet hiring goals by filling open positions with talented and qualified candidates. This entails attracting and sourcing talent, screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers and employment negotiations, all while ensuring candidates and new hires have a pleasant interview and onboard experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the recruiting efforts for the organization including building relationship with local schools, colleges, local and county workforce agencies.
  • Attends recruiting events and coordinates with regional team to ensure area coverage.
  • Sources candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Screens candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications as well as performing phone screenings.
  • Takes ownership of the candidate experience by managing job postings, job descriptions and position requirements.
  • Performs reference checks as needed.
  • Manages the overall interview, selection and closing process.
  • Facilitates the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms.
  • Ensures all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Manages the onboarding and progress of the new hire for a 90-day period.
  • Promotes a positive culture and continues relationship with new hire for a minimum of 90 Days.
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • 2 years of recruiting and staffing experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and Internet.
  • Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems. 
  • Understands employment laws, confidentiality policies, employee notification requirements, and other regulatory policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to individuals and groups.
  • Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues.
  • Skilled trade recruitment experience favored.
