About the Role

The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist plays a central role in building a strong, engaged workforce. This position is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle — from sourcing and interviewing candidates to coordinating offers. This team member plays a critical part in ensuring new hires experience a smooth, welcoming, and well-structured onboarding process.

What You'll Do

  • Leads full-cycle recruitment for all open positions.
  • Partners with Hiring Managers to understand staffing needs and role requirements.
  • Sources candidates using job boards.
  • Screens candidates and conducts initial phone interviews.
  • Coordinates interviews with the hiring team and manages communications with candidates.
  • Ensures timely communication throughout the hiring process from posting through onboarding. 
  • Prepares and sends new hire paperwork and coordinates pre-employment steps.
  • Facilitates new hire orientation.
  • Serves as point of contact for new employees during their first few weeks.
  • Performs related duties as required or directed by Executive Management.

Requirements

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a calm and pleasant manner.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations regarding hiring practices (Federal and State).
  • Ability to read and write checklists, reports, and correspondence. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, memos, etc. 
  • Ability to use office equipment such as a telephone, scanner, and printer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred. 
  • 2 years of previous experience with high volume, full-cycle recruitment.
  • Experience working with ATS and HRIS systems (i.e., Indeed, Paylocity, Paycom, ADP, etc.)

Physical Demands

While performing this job, the employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use their hands regularly. The role also requires close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus when working with computer equipment. The employee must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. The work environment typically has a low to moderate noise level.
