Position Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Entry-Level Billing Specialist to support the billing and invoicing functions of our freight brokerage. This role is well suited for individuals beginning their career in accounting or finance who are interested in the logistics industry. The Billing Specialist will ensure accurate customer invoicing, timely carrier payments, and proper documentation across all billing activities.
Primary Responsibilities
Customer Invoicing
- Prepare and issue customer invoices for completed freight shipments
- Verify billing details including rates, accessorial charges, and required documentation
- Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies in coordination with internal teams
- Ensure invoices are processed accurately and on schedule
Carrier Payables
- Review carrier invoices against rate confirmations and shipment details
- Assist with processing carrier payments according to established terms
- Respond to routine carrier billing inquiries
Reconciliation & Documentation
- Match shipment records between systems to ensure billing accuracy
- Maintain organized billing and payment documentation
- Support month-end billing and reconciliation activities
Collaboration & Compliance
- Work closely with accounting team and operations to resolve billing issues
- Follow company accounting policies and internal controls
- Assist with process improvements as assigned

Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- or 2+ years experience in Third Party Logistics
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work in person in office.
