Pay Range: $21.89 - $24.18 per hour (depending on experience)


Job Type: Full Time, Non-exempt


Shift Available: 7:30AM - 4:00PM with weekend availability


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic cleaning skills and/or minimal Residential Care Facility for the Elderly experience

What are the Qualifications?

  • Cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or move constantly. Must be able to navigate various areas of the facility, including resident rooms & common areas as well as outdoor locations
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, such as carrying linens, lifting small objects for cleaning and housekeeping supplies
  • Must be able to push and/or pull carts with supplies of over 50 pounds occasionally. Able to push and pull housekeeping carts with supplies around the building frequently
  • Bending, squatting and kneeling: Must be able to bend, squat and kneel frequently; Twisting of neck and waist: Must be able to twist neck and waist occasionally
  • Must undergo a Physical exam and Tuberculosis Screening, resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment
  • Must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment
  • Must read, understand and sign the Report of Suspected Physical Abuse of a Dependent Elder (SOC341A)

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in resident rooms and bathrooms; Change bed linens and towels for residents
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, staff, and visitors, providing assistance as needed while respecting residents’ privacy and confidentiality
  • Participate in special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
