We are currently recruiting a Watches & Fine Jewellery Technician to join the in-house Watch Repair Workshop in Sydney.
ABOUT THE JOB
Serving as a Watch Technician and Brand Ambassador, this position is dedicated to delivering exceptional client experience and upholding the highest standards of professionalism in all aspects of Quality Control, Repair, and Care Services for our Watch and Fine Jewellery clients across ANZ.
This role is instrumental in supporting the CHANEL client as well as the After Sales & Quality Department, Watches & Fine Jewellery Department and the retail teams by providing exemplary After Sales & Quality services and consistently maintaining the utmost standards of excellence throughout every interaction and repair service.

Partnering with the Head of Les Ateliers, you will also engage the clients by sharing craftmanship knowledge, care techniques and material insights while showcasing CHANEL’s savoir-faire during fittings, consultations, and dedicated Les Ateliers events when required.

You will also be proactive in seeking opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and productivity, while maintaining global standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Perform in-house quality control and repair services for CHANEL watches and fine jewelry.
Conduct QC inspections for all watches and fine jewelry, including existing stock, consignment, new shipments, and client pieces upon request.
Execute watch repairs including timepiece diagnostics and after-sales service assessments and preparing service proposals in alignment with professional standards.
Perform fine jewelry repairs including engraving, cleaning, shining, and polishing services, diagnosing functional issues and recommending services in accordance with professional standards and repair of fine jewelry pieces.
Maintain a thorough understanding of equipment required for repair tasks and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal functioning, reporting any issues promptly.
Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding product quality and functionality.
Conduct demonstrations and deliver basic training to boutique staff on watch and fine jewelry repair processes.
Monitor KPI’s to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality repairs in accordance with service level agreements
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Proven competency with a minimum of five (5) years and above of exposure and experience in watch repairs and fine jewelry services.
Possess Level 3 Watch Repair Technical Skills
Diploma/WOSTEP Professional Certificates and above
Strong verbal and written communication skills and then ability to be client facing when required.
Proficient in IT systems with the ability to navigate multiple platforms and channels
Passion for the world of watchmaking and continual learning within the industry.
The ability to work between the Market Street and Distribution Center workshops.
