Farallon Consulting, L.L.C. has seasonal, non-exempt internship opportunity for a Geology Study or Environmental Scientist Student in our Bellevue, Washington or Seattle, Washington offices.

Our internship program is well-regarded to provide premium hands-on environmental consulting experience.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be an actively enrolled student in a course of study commensurate with the position, able to commute to Bellevue or Seattle, Washington daily. This is a paid, seasonal position with a duration of approximately 10 weeks. Hours worked per week may range from 20-40. Work days may occasionally exceed 10 hours per day. The start and completion dated are flexible and will be determined with the selected candidate. This unique internship will provide work experience, learning opportunities, and insight into the consulting industry.

Requirements
What you will be doing at Farallon:
- The opportunity will provide exposure to many facets of the environmental consulting business. Projects range from small - to large-scale remedial investigations and cleanups predominantly in the Puget Sound and Central Washington areas. Interns may also work on our stormwater management and sampling and litigation support projects as well as a wide range of unique projects that frequently come our way.
- May assist in conducting historic and regulatory research, data management support, compilation, and interpretation.
- Gain experience with field data collection procedures.
- Other Duties as assigned.
What you will need to succeed
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
- Currently Pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in geology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or earth science as it relates to conducting cleanup actions.
- Reliable transportation allowing for independent travel to and from various worksites locally and state-wide.
- Ability to travel at least 20-percent of the time or as required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A desire to learn about the environmental consulting industry, and integrity to follow instructions and safety protocols.
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment and in the field. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. This role also uses equipment necessary to perform specialized field tasks. Must be able to wear respiratory protection and pass baseline physical for job position.
Pay Range
The hourly rate range for this position is $20-$25. Salary will depend on experience and progress within current program.
