About the Role

Description

The Inspector is responsible for conducting airworthiness inspections and supporting quality assurance activities within Unilode’s repair station. The role ensures that all inspections, documentation, and repairs comply with regulatory standards, customer requirements, and safety protocols. The Inspector also contributes to workshop organisation, technical support, and regulatory audits, helping maintain high quality standards and on-time production.


Key Responsibilities:


Conduct Inspections and Approve Work Orders

Customer Focus, Collaborate

  • Create and manage accurate and timely work orders in line with station processes.
  • Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspections of aircraft components.
  • Review and record results to ensure proper Return to Service (RTS) documentation.

Ensure Compliance with Regulations and Technical Standards

  • Verify compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, airworthiness directives, and service bulletins.
  • Apply OEM technical data and follow procedures outlined in the Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM).
  • Support the QA team and act on delegated quality-related duties from the Chief Inspector or QA Manager.

Support Workshop Operations and Quality Assurance

Collaborate, Customer Focus

  • Carry out routine and non-routine tasks independently to meet production schedules.
  • Assist the Chief Inspector in training and technical guidance of team members.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts (upon certification), and assist with vehicle loading/unloading.

Audit Preparation and Customer Communication

  • Represent the repair station during audits or visits from customers and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with electronic recordkeeping standards and maintain data security in FAA approved systems.
  • Provide support documentation and technical responses as required during inspections.

The Small Print:


This role requires working with technical documentation, tools, and regulatory systems in a dynamic MRO environment. The position involves physical tasks, including operating equipment and handling components, and requires a high degree of precision, accountability, and regulatory understanding. Occasional support during audits or out-of-hours operations may be expected.

Requirements

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Trade-based qualification or aviation-related certification (FAA Airframe and/or MOLIT A&P Certificate).
  • Proven experience in aviation maintenance, quality, or repair inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR Part 145 and MOLIT).
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, process compliance, and technical documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
  • Forklift certification (preferred).
  • Able to lift, pull, and push items exceeding 65 lbs.
