About the Role

Description

Concept Solutions is seeking Release Management Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Information Technology (AIT) Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Services under the ITIPSS contract vehicle. The position will assist in the generation of release management policy and procedures and provide FAA IT Services release team outreach, communication, training, and execution of release management processes.


  • Maintain physical control over the definitive copies of software and hardware components as defined by release and configuration management policy
  • Deploy hardware and software upon direction by the Government
  • Ensure all change packages deemed suitable for deployment include installation plans/instructions, back-out procedures, schedules, and other necessary information
  • Work with all customers to determine deployment mechanism and best course of action
  • Schedule changes to the Enterprise and coordinate with customers and stakeholders
  • Assist the FAA with final production readiness testing and Final Readiness Review
  • Sustain client patching including FAA IT Services Workstation Patch Management (Microsoft, Adobe, Chrome)
  • Perform deployment verification including compliancy, reporting, and metrics
  • Maintain Release Calendar and develop toward Forward Schedule of Change
  • Release coordinated communications to Business Partnership Services


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are considered acceptable alternative degrees); five (5) years of relevant experience.

Education/Experience SubstitutionsThe following substitutions may be considered at the Government's discretion:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • A Master's degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • For positions requiring a Bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma plus four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be generally adequate.

Work Location and Schedule

  • Primary Location: Fort Worth, TX
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, core hours 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM local time
  • Telework may be permitted when determined to be in the best interest of the Government
  • FAA Personnel Suitability clearance required (AMS 3.14-2)
