About the Role

Description

The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurate order entry and invoice processing within large ERP systems while supporting the transition to a new ERP platform. This role requires strong data management skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is resourceful, system-savvy, and able to manage high-volume transactional work in a fast-paced environment. This is a one-year contract with potential for permanent hire due to company growth. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and review customer orders for accuracy, pricing, promotions, and client-specific requirements
  • Draft and process invoices within large ERP systems
  • Work within both legacy and newly implemented ERP platforms (NetSuite and Great Plains)
  • Organize and upload shipping documentation into the system
  • Research order details and client notes within ERP to ensure accuracy and compliance with client-specific processes
  • Utilize Excel and vendor systems to compile and validate transactional data
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve data-related issues efficiently
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams, vendors, and clients as needed

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of work experience using large ERP systems
  • Must have strong large ERP data entry experience 
  • Experience with Great Plains strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Quick and accurate typing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Resourceful with the ability to research and navigate systems independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to perform well under pressure
