About the Role

Description

Concept Solutions is seeking a Network Security Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Information Technology (AIT) Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Services under the ITIPSS contract vehicle. The position will support and maintain firewalls providing network perimeter security for the agency. Support and maintain the TIC/Internet Access Providers (IAPs) and the Network Access Control system (NAC).


  • Support and maintain web filtering
  • Support and maintain DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) including managing IP addresses for the Mission Support Network supporting IPv4 and IPv6
  • Support and control external email routing to and from FAA
  • Coordinate with FAA Information Security and Privacy (AIS) for certification and accreditation and other security initiatives
  • Support IPv6 upgrades to FAA IT Services networks
  • Support and maintain the FAA Internet mail relays using the IronPort system
  • Administer, configure, manage, and troubleshoot infrastructure including CheckPoint firewalls, Aruba ClearPass NAC, Bluecoat Web Filters, Infoblox, and IronPort Mail Routers


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are considered acceptable alternative degrees); five (5) years of relevant experience.


Education/Experience Substitutions

The following substitutions may be considered at the Government's discretion:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • A Master's degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • For positions requiring a Bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma plus four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be generally adequate.

Work Location and Schedule

  • Primary Location: Atlantic City, NJ
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, core hours 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM local time
  • Telework may be permitted when determined to be in the best interest of the Government
  • FAA Personnel Suitability clearance required (AMS 3.14-2)
