Pacifica Law Group is seeking an associate attorney to join its Public Law and Finance practice.

Position Overview
Pacifica’s public law and finance practice represents and counsels a wide range of state and local government entities in the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate will become part of a practice that emphasizes providing support to cities, counties, ports, school districts, transit authorities, universities, utility districts and other municipal entities as well as state agencies. Areas of focus include general municipal law, public records and open meetings, land use, ethics, elections, and other statutory and constitutional issues, as well as opportunities to advise clients on guidance on corporate governance, policy and operational issues relating to municipal transactions, capital projects and public-private partnerships. The successful candidate will also work alongside members of the group who serve as bond and tax counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and disclosure counsel for a wide range of public projects, providing support on municipal law matters. This position provides opportunities to become part of an established municipal law practice, as well as for satisfying client contact and for contributions to key community projects, all through a collaborative team-based approach.
Requirements
Candidates must share Pacifica’s commitment to its mission and values, and be admitted to practice law in the State of Washington, or have the ability to obtain admittance upon hire. - Motivated self-starter;
- Exceptional judgment, professionalism and interpersonal skills;
- At least one year of experience in public finance, municipal law or representing municipal agencies, or similar experience in a relevant transactional practice such as securities, corporate finance, real estate or tax law, or one year clerkship;
- Excellent academic credentials; and
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
Salary Range
$160,000-180,000 annually depending on experience.
Other Compensation
Other compensation may include bonuses, profit sharing, and HSA employer contributions.
