Description

The Enrollment and Family Liaison recruits and enrolls children using the established priority and eligibility systems. Coordinates and organizes program-wide waiting lists. Acts as a resource to families, facilitating child and family assessment determining need(s), and goals, helping to recognize barriers to stability, and assisting with developing strategies for meeting families’ needs and strengthening their support network. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for working with families and children

Requirements

  • Intake
    • Oversees/manages the enrollment and registration process for all programs
    • Conduct outreach for all programs (CSPP, CCTR, CCP, SFCS, PRIVATE)
    • Recruit and gather information necessary to assess family needs and determine eligibility and suitability for childcare services, as well as other programs/services beneficial to the family
    • Provide intake and orientation to participants 
  • Assessment
    • Conduct Child and Family Needs Assessment
    • Assist families with ongoing assessment of their strengths and needs
    • Assist families with completing a Family Assessment to identify their support network and help families strategize ways to strengthen/expand their support to enable them to become self-reliant
  • Record Keeping & Reporting
    • Complete complicated and highly detailed State mandated forms
    • Accurate attendance records, travel records, monitoring reports, follow-ups, etc.
  • Family Coordinator
    • Represent the School at community meetings
    • Collaborates within the School and the community as directed and/or necessary for the attainment of program goals
    • Facilitate the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings
    • Conduct parent education/engagement activities
  • Miscellaneous
    • Maintains office equipment 
    • Typing and creating correspondences for school needs (i.e.: parent letters, meeting agenda, etc.) 
    • Answer and make phone calls to/from families, community partners, and others
    • Making copies, printing documents, and filing
    • Willing to work on weekends and evenings
    • Support with Marketing for Enrollments
    • Manage Company's CRM
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • AA or BA degree or higher degree in Child Development, Sociology, Psychology, Social welfare, or related field;
    • One or more years of experience working with state-funded programs
    • Knowledge of CDE and CDSS eligibility guidelines and processes for enrollment under the CCTR and CSPP programs;
    • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred;
    • Possession of valid California driver's license; current personal vehicle insurance; 
    • Willing to work evenings and weekends
    • Detail-oriented 
  • Ability to:
    • Work effectively in a strong service environment, under pressure, and subject to changing priorities
    • Communicates positively and actively develops reciprocal relationships with staff, volunteers, parents, and children. 
    • Assume a variety of general office functions as necessary
    • Be a self-starter and work independently of direct supervision
    • Basic mathematical skills i.e. addition/subtraction, multiplication/division
