Overview
This is a remote position – incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only. There may be occasional situations that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location. All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule.

Responsible for executing a variety of advanced processes within the procure-to-pay cycle requiring frequent use of supply chain management concepts, theories, principals, and techniques to investigate and solve problems of high complexity. Work is generally preformed independently requiring professional judgement, attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills. Accountabilities include:
- Negotiating and executing capital purchases and associated contracts of low risk and complexity.
- Identifying and facilitating new sourcing opportunities for cost reduction whenever possible.
- Proficient at sourcing and managing long term backorders.
- Continuous participation in purchasing strategies that advocate Lean Management and standard work protocols.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required in a related field, such as business administration, supply chain logistics, purchasing OR equivalent experience (Legacy Health employees only).
- CMRP, CPSM certification highly desired.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of purchasing or supply chain logistics required preferably in a healthcare setting; five years desired.
- Equivalent experience and education will be considered.
- Knowledge of enterprise business capabilities (EBC) system preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills that encourage effective working relationships.
- Advanced understanding of purchasing, materials management and account payables operations terms and principals.
- Solid customer-support aptitude utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use professional judgment, prioritize responsibilities/workload and meet deadlines, and apply chain-of-command communication protocols.
- Basic understanding of negotiation and contracting process.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay Range
