Job Description
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Assist in preparing and finalizing annual financial statements (e.g., 2023 and 2024 reports).
- Ensure timely submission of government financial reports to avoid penalties.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory authorities and company policies.
Accounts Receivable and Collections:
- Regularly monitor and update aging invoices.
- Flag unpaid invoices promptly and follow up with the appropriate team to ensure timely collection (e.g., coordinate with collection teams like Sherif’s team).
- Prepare and send statements of accounts (SOA) to clients and follow up for outstanding balances.
Accounts Payable Management:
- Verify invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
Communication and Follow-Up:
- Respond promptly to emails and attend scheduled meetings to address financial issues and updates.
- Provide regular updates to management on pending tasks and unresolved issues.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure submission of government-related statements and reports on time to avoid penalties (e.g., prevent penalties like the SAR 130K incident).
- Identify and address potential risks related to financial delays or non-compliance.
Collaboration and Team Support:
- Work closely with senior accountants and other team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Assist in audits, reconciliations, and other accounting-related projects as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms) and Excel.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Preferred: Experience in handling government submissions and working with auditors is a plus.
