Description
Aurora Central Catholic High School seeks an Athletic Trainer to join a growing Athletic department committed to seeing student-athletes succeed in all of their endeavors. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the following:
- Treatment for all athletic injuries; referring injuries to physician if needed.
- Supervise and build appropriate rehabilitation and strengthening programs for student-athletes recovering from injuries.
- Coordinate hydration for all teams during practice and games.
- Evaluate and determine capability of student-athlete participation in game and/or practices after an injury is sustained; Determine when a student-athlete can be released back to practice and/or competition.
- Accurate completion and organization of appropriate documentation for all injuries treated.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- A Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least one (1) year of experience, ideally in a high school, college, or university setting.
- Current licensure is required.
- First Aid and CPR certifications required.
- Familiar with industry best practices and guidelines
- Able to work various hours during the week, including weekends, evenings, and over holiday breaks
- Able to travel to local competitions as needed.
- Successful track record of working effectively with a wide range of constituencies including students, faculty, staff and parents.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position is an hourly, 12-month position, available immediately.
