About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, and quality-focused Manufacturing Specialist to join our team! In this role, you'll engage in a variety of routine and /or semi-repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment in accordance with standardized processes, procedures, or methods. What a typical day looks like:
- Perform mechanical and/or electrical operations or assemblies using hand tools and various types of fastening devices involving power operations. Full training will be provided; no experience is required.
- Responsible for daily clean-up of all assigned work areas and to practice Good Housekeeping skills.
- Use computer skills with applicable MS office programs and other software.
- Basic duties as required to meet production needs. Must also be flexible to OT or a flex schedule.
- Work in a team environment.
- Ensure the safety & wellbeing of all employees and visitors to the facility. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental & regulations, operating & work instructions, policies and rules in place.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Learning Opportunities:
- Solder in accordance with J-STD-001 and IPC-620.
- Deploy sound inventory control methods and procedures.
- Read schematics, wire diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form.
- Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
- Must be quality conscious and have a good work ethic.
- Must maintain ESD Precautions Standards certification in areas/facilities where required (training provided by employer)
- May be required to lift or exert up to 55 pounds as required by the job task.
- Must be motivated, have strong attention to detail, and bring high energy to the workplace.
- Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Physical Requirements:
- May be required to lift or exert up to 55 pounds.
Compensation:
This is a non-exempt position. Compensation is based on experience in manufacturing, education, and prior experience in manufacturing.
