About the Role

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a Site Director to oversee our Before and After School Program for the 2025–2026 school year. This on-site leadership role is responsible for day-to-day program quality, staff supervision, and Pennsylvania DHS/OCDEL compliance, while working under the guidance of a Regional Director.

Location: Park Elementary School in Columbia, PA 

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00–8:30 AM & 3:05–6:05 PM 

Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour (based on education and experience) 

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–13) enrolled in program on the days and during the hours you work. Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory & Licensing Leadership 

  • Ensure full compliance with PA DHS/OCDEL school-age regulations 
  • Maintain child and staff files, attendance records, and required documentation onsite 
  • Keep the program organized and audit-ready 

Program & Staff Leadership 

  • Lead engaging activities (STEAM, fitness, academics, arts, homework support) 
  • Actively supervise children and staff, including playground oversight 
  • Maintain safe staff-to-child ratios and strong behavior management 

Operations & Communication 

  • Oversee daily attendance, registration, and scheduling 
  • Serve as liaison between families, school administration, and the Healthy Kids main office 
  • Communicate clearly and professionally using the Playground App

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Candidates may qualify with any of the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
  • Bachelor's Degree including 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13.
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 3 years of experience working with children under 13.
  • Associate's Degree including 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services field plus 4 years of experience working with children under 13.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills 
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
