Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and faith-filled educator to teach students in Grades 6–8. The successful candidate will support the academic, spiritual, and personal development of students within a Catholic learning environment and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education.


Note: All employees are required to consent to a background check, commit to our Code of Conduct policy, and complete online and in-person trainings prior to hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for Grades 6–8
  • Foster a classroom environment rooted in Catholic values and Gospel teachings
  • Support students’ academic growth, social development, and faith formation
  • Integrate Catholic teachings across subject areas where appropriate
  • Assess student progress and communicate effectively with students and parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parish community
  • Participate in school liturgies, faith activities, and professional development
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
  • Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the faith life of the school
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school community
  • Prior experience teaching middle school is an asset
  • Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required.
  • Practicing Catholic with ethical standards, personal integrity, and conduct consistent with the morals and teachings of the Catholic Church.
