Description

Position Overview:

The Housing Manager will be responsible for the daily management of the staff and residents in housing supporting the Director of Residential Programs in ensuring policies and procedures are being implemented.  With compliance with state and federal regulations for the congregate housing are implemented and followed.  Responsible for the fair and equitable treatment of residents and resolve issues and concerns as they arise.  Conduct de-escalations as needed.  Coordinate with other staff and programs were necessary.  Manage house budgets, inventory and supplies.


Duties and Responsibilities:


• Supervise housing staff

• Conduct performance reviews, develop staff schedules, monitor attendance, lateness and PTO requests, ensure trainings are available to staff and complete in a timely fashion.

• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.

• Answer on-call phone immediately, be responsive to all staff needs during on-call period, and fill-in as needed for any call outs on any shift during the 7 day on-call period.

• Provide coverage and support within the house as needed.

• Flex schedule to cover all shifts including 7-3, 3-11 and 1-7.

• Display strong written and verbal communication skills

• Participates in the de-escalation of staff related issues (i.e., gossip)

• Comply with all DSAMH, state and federal regulations and standards.

• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.

• Ensure residents follow clinical direction and attend programs and services and adhere to good neighbor policies of congregate living.

• Triage with clinical and medical teams to ensure optimal outcomes for the residents

• Facilitate site specific orientation of all new staff and continued training of all housing staff

• Responsible for attending staff meetings

• Monitors resident/client activities, provides security checks throughout shift, completes documentation to include but not limited to round sheets, end of shift reports, records of resident/client behavior and required EMR documentation.

• Participates in direct care of residents including ensure patient safety and interacting therapeutically

• Assists in the activities of residents’ daily schedule

• Assists with de-escalation of clients

• Performs all aspects of resident/clients belongings processing for new admissions and resulting from visitations, including search, debugging and delivery

• Assists residents/clients with packing of belongings in preparation for discharge

• Monitors resident/client activities at the Behavioral Health Building

• Understands the principles of 12-Step Programs and how they apply to the recovery of the resident

• Once DMV record is cleared for driving-on property, transports resident/client to and from appointments as assigned

• Is proficient with all technology, hardware, company systems and tools to perform daily duties

• Performs all other job related duties as assigned

• Exhibits excellent customer relations skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including co-workers, clients, residents, visitors, families and referral sources.

• Must follow all HIPAA rules and policies and maintain client confidentiality


Requirements

High School, GED or equivalent

Certified Peer Specialist and/or Certified Recovery Specialist preferred but can be working towards certification

CPR/First Aid (can occur after hire)

Narcan Certified (can occur after hire)

Experience of 1 year working in substance use disorder treatment preferred
