Location: McCook, IL
Reports to: Shipping Supervisor
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Enter data accurately in shipping software either manually or by scanning the information. Ensure that all international orders have commercial documentation
- Verify shipping record accuracy against physical material shipping
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with vendors
- Communicate with internal and external customer regarding the status of jobs shipping out
- Post all orders by end of day in order to ensure all tracking information is in
- Works closely with the warehouse to ensure material is getting placed into inventory correctly and material is being pulled for shipping in a timely fashion
- Directs the movement of pending shipments with internal staff
- Contact local LTL & TL providers to move freight shipments
- Works with UPS/FedEx to resolve any shipping related issues
- Wraps skids leaving the facility and loads trucks as needed
- Keep shipping area neat and organized
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a shipping environment
- Minimum of high school diploma/GED required
- Minimum of 1-year stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, and other non-powered material handling experience is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- UPS/Fedex shipping & billing experience required
- Strong and accurate data entry experience.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills are a requirement to support the customer.
- Ability to work within a team environment (Department, other company departments & outside vendors) and maintain positive attitude is necessary.
- Verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours & walk 3 hours
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Intermittent bending up to 3 hours. Including:
o Bending neck
o Bending waist
o Twisting waist
· Intermittent squatting up to 3 hours
- Repetitive hand movement up to 8 to 12 hours including:
- Simple grasping, hand manipulation, pushing/pulling
