What you will be doing:
The Admissions Representative is an integral role that directly impacts Interstate Truck Driving School’s mission through student satisfaction and care. The Admissions Representative recruits and enrolls students that have expressed interest in becoming a truck driver. The Admissions Representative is responsible for accurately portraying ITDS’s programs, enrollment process, qualifications and financial consideration to each lead. The Admissions Representative will make outgoing phone calls, answer incoming phone calls, send and receive emails and conduct interviews as they guide prospective students through all stages of the enrollment process. Successful Admissions Representatives have the ability to quickly establish rapport and build relationships by helping guide our prospective students through the enrollment process.
- Meet with prospective students on campus to identify the benefits of enrolling with ITDS
- Contacts prospective students using phone, email, or other approved methods
- Answers and/or returns all incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a timely fashion
- Provides one on one personalized assistance to prospective students through the application, enrollment, and attendance in training program
- Ensuring that all verbal and electronic interactions portray ITDS’s program in a positive, professional way free from misrepresentation and in line with the guidance of what ITDS is offering
- Effectively work in a multi-department, fast-paced, customer-oriented environment
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and regular territory analysis
- Participates in company, team and one-on-one meetings and coaching calls as assigned
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge of the transportation industry
- Collaborates with other staff to ensure a seamless student experience
- Adheres to all company and regulatory rules and requirements

Requirements
What we are looking for:
- One year or more experience in admissions/enrollment at a higher education institution or vocational institution
- Experience in the Transportation industry preferred
- Proficient with most Microsoft and Google programs and applications
- Effective communication skills - both written and verbal
- Effective presentation skills
- Positive interpersonal and relationship building skills for both internal and external relationships
- Ability to function well independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent people skills and the ability to multi-task
- Results-oriented, organized self- starter with the ability to influence others
- Availability to work some Saturdays and evenings, as needed for coverage
