GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Community Information Director, the 2-1-1 Yolo Community Resource Specialist serves as the primary liaison for 2-1-1 Yolo County. This position is responsible for general database maintenance and updates, providing customer support to community partners including current and prospective members of the 2-1-1 Yolo database, as well as creation of routine reports. This position organizes community surveys, including follow-up communications, assists in analyzing data and producing reports for publication. This position adheres to quality assurance procedures.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Serve as a primary liaison to Yolo County service providers, collaborative groups and initiatives as assigned.
- Conduct surveys to compile comprehensive information on nonprofit and public services for inclusion in the 2-1-1 Yolo community service directory.
- Edit and proofread database content for electronic and printed publications while maintaining quality control procedures for updating and reporting information.
- Classify and code health and human services information using Inform USA (formerly AIRS) taxonomy.
- Conduct queries and assist in producing reports on caller demographics, community needs and community resources for internal & external stakeholders.
- Provide a high level of customer service in support to current and prospective service provider members of the 2-1-1 community service directories.
- Support call center operations & communication in instances of both local and regional disaster/emergency services activation.
- Maintain 2-1-1 Yolo County client relationship management interface with an emphasis on front end usability and data quality.
Community Relations
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with community service providers, including agency visits and presentations.
- Provide responsive service to community service provider and client concerns.
- Seek out opportunities for community partnerships with an emphasis on expanding the 2-1-1 Yolo County community service directories.
- Represent the organization at community events and deliver presentations to spread program awareness while upholding the values of 2-1-1 and Goodwill.
- Participate in community collaborative and work groups as assigned.
Learning & Development
- Support the Service Delivery Team with an emphasis on educating staff about vital Yolo County community resources and initiatives
- Work in conjunction with the Service Delivery Team to ensure responsive support of Call Center infrastructure and usability for 2-1-1 Yolo County services.
- Maintain a working knowledge of social and health delivery systems in the Yolo County region and educate teammates as needed.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of Inform USA (formerly AIRS) Taxonomy and Standards.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Support service delivery & volunteer support in local, and regional disaster/emergency services activation.
- Ensure compliance with all GISVNN policies, CARF standards, and safety and security regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Qualifications of the Role:
- Associate's degree or higher in Database Management, Social Work, Human Development, Sociology, Psychology or related field from accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience with community based organizations that service children, families and vulnerable populations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet frequent deadlines.
- A positive attitude with a desire to learn and impact community members in need.
- Experience in editing and producing publications and reports.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Experience with relational database management & maintenance.
- Ability to gather, categorize, process, and analyze data efficiently and accurately.
- Proficient in the use of client relationship management tools, web and SMS-based communications platforms, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to successfully adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn and apply, the Inform USA (formerly AIRS) Taxonomy classification system and standards.
- Ability to achieve Inform USA (formerly AIRS) certification in appropriate time span.
- Must not present a direct threat to the safety and health of self, others or property.

- Working knowledge of health and social services networks in the Sacramento region.

- High adaptability, patience, and flexibility required.

- Travels to various locations throughout the community may be required.
