Experience & Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during a variety of clinical procedures for patients of all ages.
- Take orthodontic records including X-rays, impressions, and photos as needed.
- Support patient comfort and confidence throughout treatment appointments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment areas following infection control protocols.
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and appliance care.
- Maintain clean, organized treatment spaces and assist with inventory and supply restocking as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
- Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred.
- Current dental assistant registration/licensure as required by Washington State.
- Comfortable working with patients of all ages—including teens and adults.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible, as-needed (PRN) schedule.
