Bruner Orthodontics is seeking a reliable and compassionate PRN Orthodontic Assistant to support our patient-focused orthodontic team. Experience & Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the orthodontist during a variety of clinical procedures for patients of all ages.  
  • Take orthodontic records including X-rays, impressions, and photos as needed.  
  • Support patient comfort and confidence throughout treatment appointments.  
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment areas following infection control protocols.  
  • Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and appliance care.  
  • Maintain clean, organized treatment spaces and assist with inventory and supply restocking as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. 

Requirements

  • Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred.  
  • Current dental assistant registration/licensure as required by Washington State. 
  • Comfortable working with patients of all ages—including teens and adults.  
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.  
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible, as-needed (PRN) schedule.
  • Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined.
