TITLE: Loan Operations Lead
DEPARTMENT: GO: Loan Operations
JOB SUMMARY:
The Loan Operations Lead is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in boarding and servicing of all types of commercial, consumer and mortgage loans. This position is responsible for adhering to QCRH loan policy, standard operating procedures, etc., and ensure other team members are doing the same. The Loan Operations Lead will assist management and leadership with managing the day-to-day operations of both the Commercial Loan Boarding Specialist and Consumer Loan Boarding Specialist teams and ensure efficiency and accuracy in all areas, including but not limited to monitoring/servicing escrow accounts, monitoring and servicing participation loans, posting payments and advances, file maintenance, daily balancing. This position will also assist with creating and maintaining training materials, as well as leading the onboarding and ongoing training for all Commercial and Consumer Boarding Specialists.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Assist management and leadership with planning and delegating work assignments and projects.
· Serve as subject matter expert for servicing commercial, consumer and mortgage loans, including SBA loans, Participation loans, SWAP loans and any other specialized lending processes for all bank charters within the holding company, utilizing automations, interfaces, and manual processes as appropriate.
· Articulate and teach others the fundamentals of loan servicing to other team members.
· Ensure the accurate and timely disbursement of escrow funds to satisfy invoices and bills, monitoring due dates, validating amounts, and resolving discrepancies to maintain compliance and prevent account delinquency.
· Oversee and ensure the accurate and compliant servicing of escrow accounts, including the production, review, and distribution of annual escrow analysis statements. Provide guidance and support to team members to maintain quality, timeliness, and regulatory adherence across all escrow processes.
· Attend meetings as requested or needed to accomplish work assigned, deliver on expectations, demonstrate team accountability, fully engage in meetings with a high level of professional discernment.
· Maintain knowledge in compliance with rules and regulations through participation in industry educational programs, publications, and additional training to stay apprised of industry trends.
· Maintain an adept level of knowledge in all areas of loan servicing.
· Assist with creating, maintaining and distributing instructions/process documentation for the team.
· Analyze and address problems or issues as they arise, understanding when there is a sense of urgency. Escalating to appropriate level of management as needed.
· Provide feedback to team members.
· Participate in merger, acquisition and conversion activities

QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
· Five+ years’ relevant experience within loan operations department or similar area.
· In-depth knowledge of bank loan documentation, loan core data input and general ledger entries.
· Minimum five years’ experience in a team lead role or equivalent experience/role.
· Judgement, decision making, and complex problem-solving skills are essential.
· Strong knowledge of the laws regulating commercial, consumer, mortgage and SBA loans and ability to apply these requirements to business practices and systems.
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to focus on detail and accuracy while anticipating potential issues and next steps.
· Proven success at prioritizing and organizing workflow.
· Ability to adapt to changing information, conditions and/or unexpected obstacles.
· Must have the desire and ability to provide and receive sensitive and confidential information in a need-to-know manner that creates and maintains confidentiality.
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and adept at handling conflict.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Duties are performed in a professional office environment.
· Some travel may be required.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
The minimum salary range for this position is $60,000 annually. The actual starting salary will be based on qualifications and business needs and may vary, as permitted by applicable state law.
