About the Role

Description

Venture is seeking compassionate and committed shared living providers in the Auburn, Dudley, Oxford, Charlton areas to share their home and life with a person with a disability. The provider helps the person with their daily activities, assist the person with their health and wellness, promote and model a safe and meaningful lifestyle and encourage participation in the community.

Providers receive training and certifications, guidance and ongoing support from a case manager, clinical and nursing supports, 24/7 emergency on call assistance, and a generous tax-exempt stipend.


Provider qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older

• have an available bedroom to be individualized as the person desires

• have a valid driver’s license

• own a reliable and insured vehicle

• pass background and fingerprinting check

• pass home qualification process


Prior experience in human services is helpful but not necessary.


As a provider you would be responsible for complete and total care of the individual supported which includes transportation to community activities, taking them to all appointments, monthly documentation, assisting with ADL's, medication administration, and assisting with money management. Contract comes with allotted amount of respite care to give the provider personal time for things such personal appointments, vacations, a night/s out, time away etc.
