- Part-Time Role (Parental Leave Cover) – 3 Days per Week, Max-Term – Commencing April 2026

What you’ll be doing
You will primarily support kindergarten educators within centres to strengthen their ability to assist children in 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten programs. Your work will focus on building educator capacity in the area of Wellbeing (Social, Emotional and Executive Function), and working alongside other disciplines who will focus on Communication (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) and Access, Inclusion and Participation. By using evidence‑based approaches, your work will have a positive impact on the educators who are supporting the school readiness skills of their kindergarten cohorts.
Working collaboratively with educators, you will help create an environment that promotes:
- Social and emotional wellbeing
- Emotional regulation and positive behaviours
- Positive social relationships and interactions
Our Psychologists will be required to:
- Build the capability of educators and parents through coaching, modelling, group training, de-identified case consultation, and other discipline‑specific supports
- Provide allied health support to kindergartens and local communities
- Liaise with Kindergartens, the Each SRF Allied Health Team, the Child Development Team Leaders, and other key staff
- Conduct outreach visits to kindergartens across Knox, Maroondah, and Yarra Ranges
Who we’re looking for
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- A Degree qualification in Psychology and current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in a range of areas of Psychology, including child development, school readiness, and psychosocial and cognitive development
- An endorsement in Educational and Developmental Psychology (highly regarded)
- Skill and experience working with vulnerability, and diverse communities
