The primary responsibility is to support a 34-year-old man with an autism spectrum disorder in developing independent living skills, focusing on weekly grocery shopping and meal preparation assistance. This role also requires supervising cleaning tasks in the client's bedroom and bathroom, including vacuuming, dusting, changing sheets, and managing personal laundry.

Description
Marc is a 34 year old man with an autism spectrum disorder. He continues to require support to develop independent living skills. The support person would continue to help Marc in the development of independent living goals. The focus would be making a shopping list and shopping for snacks and breakfast items weekly. Additionally, this person would supervise Marc in making breakfast, packing his lunch and organizing afternoon snacks. Support would also help Marc in complete weekly cleaning tasks in his bedroom and bathroom. This would include dusting, vacuuming and washing the floors, changing sheets, and completing all personal laundry and sheets and towels.
Schedule: M-F 3pm-5pm (10 hours)
PAY: $20.33
Mileage reimbursement up to 38 miles weekly.
Requirements
- Access to reliable transportation and adequate auto insurance
- Prior experience working for individuals with developmental disabilities (Preferred)
- Ability to work together with client to complete organizational tasks
- Ability to carry out individual service goals and communication goals
- Assistance with transportation if needed to Dr. appointments and errands
- Household organization and cleaning
- Documentation of services
- Consistent contact with Case Manager in re: to program activities
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Moore Center’s values
- Comply with all state, agency and department policies and procedures
- Assist individuals in community, vocational, and residential settings
All staff must adhere to the NH state law requiring mandated reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Additionally, staff are required to maintain criminal, motor vehicle and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services record checks that meet agency standards. Staff are also required to travel and transport clients when applicable. This includes having access to a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license and maintaining personal auto insurance of $100,000/300,000.
