About the Role

Description

Rumbling Bald is looking for a dependable Kitchen Support (Dishwasher) to help keep our kitchen running smoothly. In this role, you’ll maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen, wash and store dishes and cookware, help with basic food prep as needed, and assist with stocking and organization.


This is a part-time position, scheduled approximately 29 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.


Essential Responsibilities


  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
  • Keep dish and work areas clean, dry, organized, and safe for other associates
  • Remove trash, break down boxes, and keep disposal areas clean and orderly
  • Assist with basic prep, stocking, and kitchen support tasks as needed
  • Help clear and reset areas when necessary and support the restaurant team during busy service
  • May be required to drive a vehicle as part of duties

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
  • Willingness to learn and consistently follow sanitation and food safety procedures
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work calmly in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid driver's license required



Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and communicate clearly with others
  • Comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment, including exposure to heat from dish machines, stoves, ovens, grills, and fryers
  • Requires hand dexterity for handling dishes and using kitchen tools safely
  • Frequently required to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and work in a hot/humid summer climate
