We have an exciting Analyst II opportunity in our Merriam, KS office. The Pricing Analyst II is responsible for maximizing profits and throughput while minimizing costs for the Company. This position will collaborate with sales, business intelligence, analytics, scheduling, and operations to help identify an ideal product mix and put a plan together to execute that mix.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Customer mix and composite realization variance.
- Learn how to spot historical trends and how this impacts our position size needs.
- Development of dashboarding and better analytics for pricing decisions.
- Leveraging the pricing tool dataset for data science and customer bid ask behavior.
- Build, maintain, and manage break-even models to assist the Pricing Manager with establishing position targets.
- Learn from and work with the sales & pricing groups throughout daily activities to manage sold positions and pricing.
- Agentic co-champion for system and workflow automation generating AI leveraged insights into better pricing performance.
- Work with sales in evaluating and establishing frozen positions for selecting product items and develop timing for establishing frozen positions.
- Help manage Offal sales price levels and inventory positions.
- Help manage product management needs for the Further Processor channel.
- Back-up for PTO* for pricing leads.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Required:
- An understanding and familiarity with protein/commodity markets
- An understanding and familiarity with customers and sales tactics
- An understanding of cost models for animal protein products, pork items being a preference
- Familiarity with pork slaughter and fabrication facilities, processes, equipment, and cuts
- Ability to convey complex pricing models to non-finance stakeholders
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, or related field.
- Preferred minimum of 5 years’ experience in an animal protein product management, sales, or equivalent role.
- Proficiency in Tableau, SQL, Python and/or Excel
