Now, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our offices in Budapest.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role in enabling commercial and strategic marketing teams through data-driven insights, structured analysis, and clear business recommendations.
This role will focus on sales performance monitoring, market and customer trend analysis, KPI reporting, monitoring project pipelines, benchmarking industry performance, and supporting strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will work closely with global customer-facing teams and strategic marketing leaders to provide clear, actionable intelligence that enhances decision-making and drives commercial growth across the globe. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, data-driven international environment.
Responsibilities
Sales & Commercial Analysis:
- Analyze sales performance across regions and customer segments to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Deliver regular and ad hoc sales reports to the commercial leadership team to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into sales drivers, pricing dynamics and margin evolution to support business decision-making.
Project Pipeline Monitoring:
- Track and analyze project pipeline trends to support forecasting and resource allocation.
- Assess pipeline health, conversion rates, and win/loss drivers, providing recommendations to improve commercial effectiveness.
- Partner with commercial and strategic marketing stakeholders to identify structural gaps and opportunities within the pipeline.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking:
- Gather and interpret market and industry data to benchmark company performance.
- Develop competitive and market insights that support strategic initiatives, portfolio positioning, and long-term business planning.
KPI & Sales Performance Tracking:
- Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Proactively highlight performance deviations and recommended actions to commercial team.
Sales Segmentation Tagging:
- Maintain accurate sales segmentation tagging for performance analysis.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to collect feedback and ensure transparency.
- Partner with IT to develop and implement automated solutions.
Customer Portfolio Review:
- Conduct structural reviews of customer portfolios to identify growth potential and risk exposure.
- Support account managers and segment commercial leaders with actionable insights to strengthen customer and segment strategies
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.
Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in a commercial, business analysis, consulting or finance role, preferably in the chemical, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Proven experience in business analysis, advanced data modeling, KPI reporting, and market and competitive analysis.
- Demonstrated experience providing data-driven insights and recommendations to improve business performance
- Strong understanding of sales processes and market dynamics.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to structure complex business questions and derive clear insights from data
- Advanced proficiency in building data models using Excel (including Power Query) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Solid understanding of commercial processes and internal stakeholder needs in a multinational environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to both analytical and non‑analytical audiences.
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment with evolving priorities
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
