IMPORTANT NOTE
This is NOT a software QA automation role. This position is focused on industrial automation and controls systems (PLC/SCADA/VFD) in manufacturing / industrial environments.
This position places you at the intersection of customer needs and industrial controls—ideal for a technically credible, commercially driven professional who can lead discovery, shape solutions, and drive revenue growth in manufacturing and industrial environments.
ROLE OVERVIEW
In this Solutions Sales role, you will combine strong technical controls knowledge with commercial instincts to deliver customer-focused automation solutions that drive measurable operational outcomes and revenue growth.
This role supports industrial manufacturing facilities — Direct experience working within manufacturing plant environments is strongly preferred.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead technical discovery with plant operations, engineering teams, and decision makers.
- Identify and translate operational pain points into scalable automation solutions.
- Design solution roadmaps aligned with customer environments and budgets.
- Support integration discussions across PLC/SCADA/HMI/VFD and related automation technologies.
- Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements.
- Own account strategy, pipeline development, and accurate forecasting against revenue targets.
- Build trusted relationships from day-to-day stakeholders through executive leadership.
This role is ideal for a controls engineer who has successfully transitioned into customer-facing solution roles, or a quota-carrying technical sales professional with deep PLC/SCADA experience in manufacturing environments.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary Range: $121K – $203K (includes 35–45% bonus)
- 401(k): 50% employer match up to 10% of compensation

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of industrial automation and/or controls systems experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- Knowledge of PLC, VFD, SCADA, and related automation technologies.
- Hands-on experience configuring, programming, or integrating PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Siemens, Schneider, or comparable industrial control systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable advocating solutions to customers.
- Thorough understanding of control system design and coding (or solution-level architecture).
- Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- 3+ years in a quota-carrying technical sales or customer-facing applications engineering role within industrial automation or manufacturing controls environments.
