About the Role

Description

Our cook’s responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing dough, sauce and salads as well as cutting or slicing various ingredients to be used as toppings. You should also be able to maintain a clean workstation at all times. You should ensure that kitchen safety protocol is properly followed. Ideally you enjoy mentoring and training.

You will be trained to properly manage, stretch and hand toss dough. You will be expected to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality.

Cook Responsibilities:

  • Preparing pizza dough, sauces, and various toppings, such as tomatoes, peppers and onions.
  • Monitoring the temperature of the pizza ovens as well as cooking times.
  • Cleaning workstations before and during pizza preparation.
  • Ensuring that all utensils and cooking equipment are clean before each use.
  • Managing all food order and ensuring that customers’ orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Disposing of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift.
  • Preparing pizza, salads and other food items according to company recipes.
  • Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
  • Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
  • Monitoring supplies and re-stocking as needed.
  • Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
  • Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders.
  • Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Having a great attitude and being a team player.
  • Washing dishes.
  • Mopping, sweeping and deep cleaning to keep the restaurant clean and sanitary for our loyal customers.

Cook Requirements:

  • A food handler’s license.
  • Food preparation and food handling experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
  • The ability to follow standardized recipes.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
