Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Manager- Finance to join our finance team in Kathmandu, Nepal. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing valuable insights to drive organizational success. You will work collaboratively with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain robust financial controls, prepare accurate financial reports, and support strategic decision-making.   • Assist in the preparation, analysis, and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise and coordinate daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process; monitor, analyze, and report on budget variances to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare comprehensive management reports and financial analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making by senior leadership
  • Maintain and strengthen internal control procedures to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring all required documentation is accurate, complete, and readily available for audit activities
  • Participate actively in cost control initiatives and profitability improvement projects, providing analytical insights and recommendations
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management and relevant stakeholders
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and maintaining high standards of accounting practices
  • Ensure full compliance with local Nepali tax regulations, statutory requirements, and international accounting principles

Qualifications

**Experience**

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a senior finance or accounting position, or minimum 2 years of experience in a similar Assistant Manager capacity
  • Proven experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliation functions
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Experience implementing and maintaining internal control procedures and compliance frameworks
  • Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Experience coordinating with internal and external auditors

**Education & Certifications**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification (preferred)

**Skills & Competencies**

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with financial and accounting reporting systems and software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Leadership and team management capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
