Responsibilities involve providing patient-centered care across various surgical specialties within 5 operating theatres and 1 endoscopy suite.

Cabrini Brighton Perioperative Services is a caring yet dynamic environment with 5 operating theatres and 1 stand-alone endoscopy suite.

Providing a range of surgical specialties raging from Orthopaedic, Plastic and reconstructive, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Vascular, Endocrine, General/laparoscopic, Urology, Colorectal, ENT and Maxiolfacial/dental, with approximately 800 operations each month, ensuring patient centred care. Our day-of-surgery admissions focus on every patient having a positive experience with their admission to theatre, while our Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit and discharge lounge cater for all specialist post-operative care requirements.

How you will make an impact
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a minimum 3 years Scrub/Scout and Anaesthetics/PACU experience to join the Perioperative team in on a Full-Time, Part-Time or Casual bank capacity.  Our team of nurses are encouraged to work in a wide range of areas to broaden their skills and knowledge of the patient’s perioperative journey.

If you choose to apply for casual employment, we are seeking that you commit and can complete a minimum of two shifts per month and ensure that all your annual learning competencies are completed and kept up to date.

About You

You are a passionate, patient-focused Registered Nurse with recent experience in Scrub Scout, who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic perioperative environment. You will also have the following:

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Relevant Perioperative Services experience

  • Victorian Working with Children Check

  • Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes

  • Flexibility and a positive attitude

  • Enthusiasm for participation in a team environment

  • Excellent customer service focus and communication skills
