Within RBS, the Wealth & Private business is responsible for supporting customers across the full spectrum of their wealth journey — from mass market through to mass affluent and high-net-worth segments. 

 

The Affluent Growth Crew plays a critical role in helping customers grow and manage their wealth. Within this crew, the SMSF Set Up & Apply squad focuses on enabling customers to confidently establish and onboard Self-Managed Super Funds through market leading digital and distribution experiences. leading digital and distribution experiences.

As a Product Manager in the Affluent Growth Crew, you will be accountable for planning and delivering initiatives that grow our offerings for the Mass Affluent segment, with our first priority to target customers who are seeking to set up a new SMSF entity, or opt for Cash management and Trading products within their SMSF. We are designing a new service proposition for this segment, including building a new market leading digital application and improving the end-to-end customer experience.toend customer experience. 

 

You’ll work closely with cross functional partners across the group in design, engineering, data, Retail and Business Bank product teams, risk, legal and frontline channels to shape the SMSF product roadmap, deliver digital features, support distribution design and execution, and drive continuous improvement — all while ensuring customer needs are met and risk is well managed.functional partners across design, engineering, data, risk, legal and frontline channels to shape the SMSF product roadmap, deliver digital features, support distribution strategy execution, and drive continuous improvement — all while ensuring customer needs are met and risk is well managed. 

 

This is a hands on role that balances digital delivery and commercial outcomes, with real impact on customer growth and engagement.on role that balances  

 

 On any given day, you will: 

 

  • Execute against the product strategy, objectives and roadmap within the Affluent Growth space. 

  • Build a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points and behaviours to identify and prioritise opportunities for growth and experience improvement. 

  • Support squad delivery by using data and insights to inform priorities, trade-offs and sequencing.offs and sequencing. 

  • Ensure appropriate measurement, tagging, reporting and optimisation are in place to track outcomes and performance. 

  • Stay abreast of external market trends, regulatory changes and innovation across SMSF, investing and wealth. 

  • Work collaboratively within an Agile squad to solve customer and business problems end to end.toend. 

  • Be accountable for understanding, managing and monitoring product risk, regulatory obligations and controls. 

  • Monitor and report on performance metrics across product origination, deposit growth and channel performance. 

  • Prepare management reporting, deep dive analysis and presentations to inform decision making and communicate outcomes.dive analysis and presentations to inform decisionmaking and communicate outcomes. 

 

We’re interested in hearing from people who have 

 

  • A strong customer centric mindset, with the ability to translate customer needs into clear product outcomes.centric mindset 

  • Proven experience managing products across the end-to-end lifecycle, from concept through to optimisation or retirement.toend lifecycle 

  • A passion for delivering personalised and engaging digital experiences and staying up to date with the latest industry trends 

  • Exposure to banking, wealth or investing products, ideally including SMSF, digital onboarding or acquisition. 

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including participation in Agile ceremonies and tools such as JIRA. 

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage and present to senior leaders. 

  • Solid commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to balance growth, risk and customer outcomes. 

  • Strong analytical capability, including the ability to extract insights from digital and performance data. 

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience preparing clear, compelling analysis and recommendations. 

  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast paced environments, with a bias for action and continuous improvement.paced environments
