Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and professional HSE Officer to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will be ADOSH/OSHAD certified and possess a strong commitment to maintaining and promoting a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace environment. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental programs that align with UAE regulations and organizational standards.
- Conduct comprehensive workplace inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential risks and non-compliance issues
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with ADOSH/OSHAD regulations and UAE labor laws
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; document findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare and maintain detailed HSE documentation, records, and reports for regulatory compliance and organizational review
- Deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees at all organizational levels
- Perform safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to established HSE standards and best practices
- Collaborate with management and department heads to customize HSE initiatives and address workplace safety concerns
- Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external HSE consultants to maintain organizational compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and behavioral safety programs
Qualifications
- Valid ADOSH/OSHAD certification
- Minimum 2-5 years of professional HSE experience in a corporate or industrial environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of UAE labor laws, ADOSH regulations, and HSE standards
- Proven expertise in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set with attention to detail
- Proficiency in HSE documentation, record-keeping, and reporting systems
- Excellent communication and training abilities to effectively engage with diverse audiences
- Experience conducting workplace inspections, safety audits, and compliance monitoring
- Proficiency with HSE management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Additional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO 45001
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, or industrial sectors
- Knowledge of international HSE standards and best practices
- Experience developing and delivering customized safety training programs
- Familiarity with behavioral safety and safety culture development initiatives
