Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as an IoT Hardware and Software Purchase Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating both products & supplier and purchasing hardware components and systems, Software, Licenses with a specific focus on IoT devices and associated technologies.

 You will work closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure the timely procurement of high-quality hardware & software that meets our company’s needs and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware procurement, Software procurement,  Supplier evaluation & release excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of IoT technologies and their applications. You are also responsible for implementing process & systems for Purchase.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Research, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers for IoT hardware components and general hardware based on quality, cost, reliability, and timeliness of delivery.
  • Research, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers for Software components and licenses, SaaS model based on quality, cost, reliability, and timeliness of delivery.
  • Audit Supplier, end to end manufacturing & supply chain process & release as per Bosch standards
  • Conduct thorough assessments & curation of software & IoT products.
  • Coordinate with legal and Product teams to review and finalize vendor contracts and agreements.
  • Monitor software license compliance and ensure adherence to usage policies.
  • Evaluate product/solutions for Scalability.
  • Collaborate with IT/Product teams to ensure seamless integration/onboarding/ deployment of new software solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with vendors to ensure favorable terms for the company.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand hardware/Software/License requirements and specifications for IoT projects and general hardware/software/license needs.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor market trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes related to IoT hardware and Software/License, Data Privacy Acts and advise management on potential impacts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • E-Commerce management à Onboard the product on platform, release & contract with supplier as per e-commerce guidelines
  • Returns management à Contract with supplier & Logistics Service Provider for customer return management.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt and distribution of purchased hardware.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors regarding quality, delivery, or pricing discrepancies.
  • Implementation Purchase Process as per Bosch & Industry Standards

 

Qualifications

Desired Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & communication, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience as a hardware & Software purchase specialist, procurement officer, or similar role, with at least 3-5 years specifically focused on IoT hardware & Software procurement.
  • Deep understanding of IoT technologies, including sensors, embedded systems, connectivity protocols, and hardware platforms.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Expertise on relevant procurement software and SAP
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge on Platform Business models
  • Strong knowledge on Cloud, Blockchain & other latest Software
  • Experience in Electronics, Telecommunication & Service Supplier Assessment & Release process
