The Boat Technician is accountable for performing the duties and responsibilities described below:

Responsibilities Include:


  • Service all makes and models of outboards and inboards
  • Winterize/De-winterize
  • Service work to boats
  • Perform diagnostics and repair all types of marine engines (Engine, outboard, drive repair, boat rigging, electrical systems, etc.) on boats
  • Service work to boat trailers
  • Perform repairs to trailers (wiring, tires/wheels, hubs/bearings/brakes
  • Handle multiple work orders and document that the work has been performed correctly and completely
  • Troubleshoot, repair and install electrical accessories in boats
  • Safely operate company and customer boats during diagnostics and water testing
  • Perform repairs according to manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a professional and welcoming attitude.
  • Ability to work 8 hours per day and allow for overtime when needed.
  • May occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Be detail-oriented with strong attention to quality work and processes
  • Be a team player
  • Be able to work independently when needed as well as part of a team.
  • Be able to work indoors and outdoors, as needed
  • Boat handling and knowledge of local waters
  • 3+ Years Experience Preferred!
  • Compensation dependent on experience
