Job Title: Recruiter - Entry Level 

Location: Vance, AL

 

Position Summary:


The Recruiter is responsible for executing full-cycle recruiting activities to support a multi-shift logistics operation. This role manages sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes while ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements.


The Recruiter partners closely with operations leadership to meet workforce demands, maintain accurate hiring documentation, and ensure a seamless candidate experience from initial contact through orientation. Flexibility is essential, as business needs may require schedule adjustments to support early or extended operational hours.


Key Responsibilities:


• Execute the values, philosophy, mission, strategy, policies, and standards of Schnellecke Logistics.

• Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, and onboarding coordination.

• Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through multiple sourcing channels, including ATS systems, referrals, and community outreach.

• Partner closely with operations leadership to proactively identify staffing needs and align recruitment strategies with workforce planning objectives.

• Coordinate and manage all pre-employment processes, including offer preparation and routing, rehire eligibility verification, badge eligibility submissions, background screenings, and drug testing requirements.

• Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of candidate activity, hiring metrics, and compliance-related records.

• Facilitate clear communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive and professional candidate experience.

• Coordinate onboarding logistics, including start date confirmation, system onboarding setup, orientation communication, and training roster management.

• Maintain recruitment reporting and provide regular updates on hiring progress, manpower status, and key performance indicators.

• Participate in operational meetings to stay aligned with production demands, staffing forecasts, and business priorities.

• Support recruitment marketing initiatives, including job fairs, hiring events, and referral programs.

• Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable employment regulations throughout the hiring process.

• Perform additional duties assigned to support business and operational needs.

Requirements

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

• 3 years of experience in recruiting. 

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Experience with applicant tracking systems, such as Paylocity. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

• Flexibility to adjust work schedule based on operational demands.


Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in both plant and office environments.

• Must be able to be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, vibration, and occasionally loud noise levels.

• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.

• Bending and reaching may be required.

• Personal Protective Equipment must always be worn while on the plant floor.

• Role requires frequent interaction and collaboration with employees, leadership, candidates, and external partners.
