Position Overview
The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team across a variety of essential functions, including onboarding, recruitment, employee engagement, and administrative operations. This role assists with coordinating hiring events, scheduling interviews, managing candidate communications, and contributing to employee recognition and engagement initiatives. This internship offers a well-rounded opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Process Improvement
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring that all required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Recruitment & Hiring Support
- Coordinate logistics for recruiting events, job fairs, and hiring events to attract qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews, manage candidate check-ins, and maintain clear communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Track applicant progress and update candidate statuses as needed.
Employee Engagement & Programs
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, including team-building events, recognition programs, and incentive activities.
- Support programs designed to enhance employee morale, retention, and overall workplace culture.
Administrative Support
- Prepare and distribute materials related to recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement programs.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with general HR administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to quickly learn HRIS systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Enthusiastic, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Experience with Paylocity is preferred but not required.
