SMT, Inc. is a leading precision metal fabrication and electro-mechanical assembly manufacturer serving industrial and commercial customers. We are seeking a strong, hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our Electro-Mechanical Assembly department.

This role is ideal for a technically skilled manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the quality, safety, and productivity standards required in electrification and industrial power systems.


Position Summary

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations within the Electro-Mechanical Assembly department, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. This individual will lead a team of assemblers and technicians while driving accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

This is a working leadership role requiring strong technical capability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics.


Key Responsibilities

· Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Electro-Mechanical Assembly team

· Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and safety standards

· Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics

· Monitor workflow, productivity, and labor utilization

· Train, coach, and develop assembly technicians

· Enforce company policies and safety procedures

· Troubleshoot technical and production issues in real time

· Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams to resolve production challenges

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department

· Maintain accurate production and performance records


Qualifications

· Prior experience running or supervising a production department (required)

· Experience in the electrification industry strongly preferred

· Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics (required)

· Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, power distribution units, industrial controls, or switchgear preferred

· Proven leadership ability in a manufacturing environment

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

· High attention to detail and commitment to quality

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
