Job Description
The purpose of this position is to translate deployed strategy, business objectives, requirements from customers,
stakeholders as well as standards and regulatory requirements into technical inputs to establish value stream capable of fulfilling needs of customer and stake holder expectations, conforming to standards & guidelines as well as continuously enhancing value stream efficiency & effectiveness and achieve operational excellence.
1. Area: Technical Capacity Management
Key activities: Plan, implement & continually develop a manufacturing value addition flow with resources e.g. space, MAE, testing, handling, etc., capable of consistently manufacturing, measuring, monitoring, validating and delivering products that meets all engineering, regulatory & requirements of the customer
Key Result Areas / Indicators: Manufacturing Capacity / Capability - TEK, CpK, Ergo, safety compliance to
meet customer requirements
2. Area: Value stream Planning
Key activities: Monitor internal & external requirements (e.g. BU, Plant, VS, BP, customer), true north and VS vision, collaborate with Cross Functional stake holders to identify, monitor & drive projects to lead Value stream towards a future state, progressively raise efficiency & achieve operational excellence.
Key Result Areas / Indicators: Delivery Performance, TRLT, TCT, MAE Utilisation.
3. Area: Control Of Production Processes
Key activities: Establish, document & develop the release of processes (e.g. CpK study, PPAP, etc), controls to manage processes (e.g. control plans, work instructions, SPC, etc), methods to track & monitor customer requirements, reaction to non-conforming parts (e.g. reaction plan) to ensure defect free products

4. Area: Budget Planning & Cost Management
Key activities: Estimate & propose budgets for the upcoming planning periods required to run operations, fulfill demands and execute development projects e.g., personnel, tooling, services, MAE, project costs, etc. Track & adapt expenditure over respective periods to adhere to budget and achieve economic success..
Key Result Areas / Indicators: Operational expense planning and control, Business planning. Risk mitigation and business continuity.
5. Area: Risk Analysis & Contingency Planning
Key activities: Identify & evaluate risks to sustaining intended results e.g. delivery to customer, assure zero defect products, product recalls, breakdown of single dependent machine, etc., plan, document, implement & test preventive and reactive measures to mitigate business & customer impact.
Key Result Areas / Indicators: Process Maturity Improvement, Productivity improvement, Cost/pc - FD, T&C reduction, IDC reduction
6. Area: Continuous improvement and change initiatives
Key activities: Motivate and coach associates into active engagement of learning, problem-solving & identifying potentials in manufacturing for Kaizens, suggestions on SQCD to enable operational excellence. Implement organizational change initiatives to bring transformational improvements to VS performance.

7. Area: Problem Solving & Corrective Actions
Key activities: Compile & assess deviations to defined standards in manufacturing e.g. infrastructure, processes, quality complaints, FPY, defect cost, safety incident, etc. Identify root causes, ideate, plan & implement necessary measures to fix issues to limit impact to the customer and business results.
Key Result Areas / Indicators: Implemented ideas per associate System CIP project completion
8. Area: Process management
Key activities: Follow defined manufacturing process standards i.e. drawings, PDS, SPC, PFEP, Gauge validity and conduct checks to confirm release of manufacturing during Shift start / Change over and execute defined deviation management if needed to ensure defect free production.
Key Result Areas / Indicators: FPY, IDC
9. Area: MAE, Tooling & Consumable Planning
Key activities: Prepare technical inquiry, scout market for suppliers of desired technology, float inquiry & receive techno-commercial offers, conduct technical discussions & narrow down potential vendors. Initiate internal process to place purchase requests to procure required items & manage regular availability.
Key Result Areas / Indicators: Ensure availability of MAE, tools and consumables
10. Area: Coaching & Knowledge Management
Key activities: Initiate, organise & lead engagement initiatives to coach, motivate & support team in knowledge sharing, pool collective knowledge for problem-solving, understanding & adoption of new standards, methods & technology etc, to enhance people potential, encourage innovation & organisational development

11. Area: Change Initiatives & Management
Key activities: Evaluate manufacturing setup for efficiency, technical constraints & ideas from associates, develop scenarios, plan (e.g. ECR process) & implement concepts (e.g. I4.0) & measures aimed at resolving issues, upgrading setup with benchmark concepts to improve efficiency & effectiveness of operations.

12. Area: Project Management
Key activities: Analyse new business requirements (e.g. product relocation, product inquiry, innovation project, etc), evaluate business case, develop project charter and project management plan, coordinate, drive and implement project plan in collaboration with cross functional teams to enable business growth.
Key Result Areas / Indicators: Project completion - On Time, On Spec, On Cost
13. Area: Management Reporting
Key activities: Compile, organise and represent manufacturing performance data and insights to lead systematic understanding of influences and aspects in Value stream as well as support different levels of hierarchy in taking well-informed and strategic calls to support value stream goals.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical / Industrial production)
1+ years in Auto component / Auto ancillary manufacturing industry
1+ years of experience in managing unionized/non-unionized/temporary workforce
