GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Branch Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of one of our full-service branch banks while promoting market growth. Responsible for providing a high quality of customer service, cross selling, and comprehensive, prompt and efficient handling of customer transactions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for growing loans and deposits of the office through personal calling and sales efforts, excellent customer service, and cross-sales to walk-in traffic of the branch.
- Greets and serves bank customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Assists customers in opening new accounts and all related services, issuing CDs, and closing all deposit accounts.
- Responsible for originating consumer loans and referring other lines of business.
- Completes thorough sales tracking to ensure goals are being met.
- Actively participates in all bank promotions/campaigns including Call Nights.
- Participates in community organizations, projects, and functions representing the bank in a professional manner.
- Develops new business by visiting prospect businesses outside of the branch.
- Reports issues of the branch to the appropriate supervisor/area.
- Promotes all bank services to customers.
- Handles customer complaints. Counsels customers with special problems or in disagreement with bank policies and procedures.
- Maintains a good working relationship with the teller area for a positive work environment and to improve referrals from the tellers.
- Oversees branch appearance, reports any maintenance issues to appropriate facilities manager or management.
- Maintains working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures with respect to all Retail applications.
- Actively upholds the organization’s vision, mission and values, encompassing mutual respect, honoring commitments, working with integrity and accepting responsibility for own actions.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to EEO policy, shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences, promotes working environment free of harassment of any type.
- Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
- Has a strong commitment and dedication to internal and external customer service.
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree from a two year college, technical college or university. Five or more years of sales &/or customer service experience or combination of education and work experience. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or technical industry related curriculum, should be business, financial industry, or sales related.
- Basic knowledge of bank operations, products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures.
- Proficient in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; software programs of diverse functionality used by the bank, including but not limited to, desktop applications and administrative programs and resources. (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
- Proficient math skills: balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and employees.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
