About the Role

Description

SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking an 1st Shift Operator to perform production of isotopes used in various medical and cancer treatments. The 1st Shift Operator will operate first-of-a-kind particle accelerator systems. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with a diverse background to join our team and help build our manufacturing operations as we grow into commercial production. Ideal candidates have the desire to quickly learn new technology and contribute to technical advances. This candidate is well organized, able to follow company standard practices, and emphasizes workplace safety. This is a fast-paced commercial development environment reliant on strong team fundamentals.


 Pay:

  • Starting rate of $30 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform system operation including:
  • Powering up, monitoring, and manipulating system controls
  • Monitoring steady state operations
  • Post-processing of system output materials including:
  • Working in a controlled environment
  • Executing precise measurements and data collection
  • Perform preventative maintenance including:
  • Replacing consumable parts 
  • Complete system maintenance at designated intervals
  • Assembly/disassembly of system
  • Assist with and execute limited testing of technology improvements on first-of-a-kind particle accelerator system
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting in alignment with SHINE’s company values 
  • Assist other SHINE projects and departments as necessary
  • Overtime may be needed to support production demands


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to work safely within an industrial and radiation environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Desire to learn and understand new technology and technical processes
  • Effective use of written and verbal skills to communicate routine technical and non-technical information
  • Ability to follow written procedures and accurately record test data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings or schematics
  • Experience in a laboratory setting
  • Experience in an ISO quality environment
  • Proficiency with Windows 10 or newer operating systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Technician or related discipline 

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
