Summary:

The Restaurant Host is responsible for creating a welcoming and organized first impression for all guests. This role manages guest flow, seating, reservations, and communication with the service team to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a warm, guest-focused demeanor.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  •  Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
  •  Manage reservations, wait lists, and seating arrangements in accordance with restaurant standards
  •  Escort guests to tables and present menus as needed
  •  Communicate effectively with servers and management regarding table status, guest needs, and service flow
  •  Monitor dining room activity to ensure balanced seating and optimal guest experience
  •  Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
  •  Assist with answering phones, taking reservations, and responding to guest inquiries
  •  Provide accurate information regarding menu items, specials, and hotel facilities when appropriate
  •  Support servers and bussers during peak periods as needed
  •  Maintain a professional and positive attitude toward guests and associates at all times
  •  Follow all company policies, procedures, and service standards
  •  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  •  Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight
  •  Additional tasks may be assigned at any given time


Requirements

Qualifications:

  •  Excellent customer service skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests and coworkers professionally 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • High school education or related experience 
  • Must obtain and maintain any required certifications
